What We Believe

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." - A.W. Tozer

Core Beliefs

The following are the core beliefs of Living Faith Church based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

The Bible

The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God.

The Trinity

There is one God, eternally existent and revealed in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.

The Resurrection

In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His atoning death on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His future return to this earth in power and glory.

Our Sinfulness

Though originally good, man willingly fell to sin, and is now inherently evil and totally depraved apart from the saving and atoning work of Jesus Christ.

Salvation

Every person can have restored fellowship with God through 'salvation' (trusting Christ, through faith, repentance, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

Baptism & Communion

In the practice of two ordinances—(1) Water Baptism by immersion after repenting of one's sins and receiving Christ's gift of salvation, and (2) Holy Communion (the Lord's Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ's suffering and death for our salvation.

Redemption

The redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing in answer to believing prayer.

The Holy Spirit

The baptism in the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4 is given to believers who ask for it.

Sanctification

In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit who dwells in believers and enables them to live a holy life.

Resurrection

In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.
