ways you can help

There are a variety of ways to be involved and help with CityServe Santa Barbara. From driving to heavy lifting to delivering to praying - there is a place for everyone!

Collection

Lend a helping hand and help with some of the physical activities and Goods in Kind (GIK) that need to be picked up, stocked, and made available for community disbursement:
  • Monthly trip GIK pickup with truck(s) in Bakersfield
  • Assist in unloading trucks
  • Stocking GIK in storage
  • Loading GIK for community disbursement

Distribution

For those who love to minister to people, build relationships, and share the love and gospel of Jesus:
  • Be a part of the GIK disbursement process to families, individuals, etc
  • Connect and build relationships
  • Follow up beyond initial GIK blessing
  • Share the love and good news of Jesus

Prayer

For those who have a heart to intercede for others, love to be a listening ear and share God’s love:
  • Meet biweekly to pray for CityServe Program and pray for those we have served
  • Make monthly follow up calls praying with people and inviting them to church
  • Sending out cards or invitations to special events at church
  • Take down data and email CityServe SB Director if there are new needs
